Object Exploration Tasks

Roedents are particularly interested in exploring novelty. In the object exploration (and object space) task mice are exposed to an arena populated with different object. The animals are not food deprived, and free to roam around and explore at their will.

Supervised and unsupervised classification of mouse bahaviour.

Object Space Task in square arena

The object space task combines a navigation task with the exploration of object where novelty comes from changes in objects ID and also objects configurations.

Different changes in objects configuration are used in multiple trials.

Object Exploration

This experimental paradigm allows to investigate how the brain represent familiar and novel objects during spontaneous exploratory behaviour.

Supervised classification of navigation and exploratory bahaviours. The arrow represents the head direction of the animal and in different colors the behaviour classification is shown.
